Hello,

I am contacting you about licensing for the Video
Point software that is being put on the new
computers going into NS217. I am nearly done with
the image setup so we can move forward on this
project. If you could let me know what the serial
number for that software is, I would appreciate
it. We are looking to do the final installation
for the lab during the week of September 12th. If
you have any questions or comments, please let me
know.

if you let me know what final versions are
installed I will clean up the the text files on
the t: drive to indicate the current W#s and the
license versions installed for each... it might be
a good idea to keep a set of info on this Lab
under T:\7. LABS

1) Datastudio - the software that runs interfaces
connected to the PC's -

   I have the site license for this
 2) Mathematica - UCS  has the software and
licenses for this
 3) VideoPoint - I have the software and site license

I'll also need administrator privileges on all the
machines.  In addition I'd like to have a local
login onto the individual machines so that the
computers are available for teachers that take
workshops in the room over the summer, and for
students during the academic year in the event the
network goes down. I believe the current local
login in is
username: student
password: Physics!

6/10 there is a final exam  in the room. We'll be
having teacher workshops June 22-24, and June
28/29,  each of which will require a little room
prep time beforehand. However the earlier we can

Hello William Schoenfeld,

UCS has received and inventoried all of the
computers, etc. that were part of you AIC  Physics
Computer Lab request(NS217).
We need to know when you would like to get
installation in room started(before end of Spring
term?  Summer? etc.).
 We also need to discuss the software set that is
needed on these stations besides the typical
student lab station image that includes Office. 
Is there Physics specific applications that will
be transferred to or bought for these stations? 
Are there freeware type applications that need to
be included?
