Brian is having him try burning OS X onto a duel
layer DVD. If that doesn't work we will send an
install DVD down with someone who is going down to
Eugene today.

Kevin left a voice mail saying that the disk 
permissions finished but did help.  He said he 
needs to get a OS 10 disk to TRI in Eugene, 
ASAP.  He said you can contact him back or Don 
Hood.  His phone number is above under his

Called. Had him do "verify disk" and "repair disk
permissions".
It repaired disk permissions just fine but when
verifying the disk there were errors implying his
OS was corrupted.

"Repair Disk" was greyed out and could not press it.

He is in Eugene and doesn't have an OS disk down
there.

Will see about netboot solution tomorrow.

Hello,

I installed an update on my computer yesterday 
and since then the following applications (that 
I've found so far) won't open:

Filemaker (I REALLY need this to work)
Entourage (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint all work)
Safari (Firefox and Chrome both work)
iTunes
App Store
Dictionary
GarageBand
iCal
iChat
iMovie
iPhoto
Mail (Mac app)
RealPlayer (Quicktime Player works)

They all give the message: "XXX cannot be opened 
because of a problem. Check with the developer to 
make sure XXX works with this version of Mac OS 
X. You may need to reinstall the application. Be 
sure to install any available updates for the 
application and Mac OS X."

I can't do ANY work until these applications work 
on my computer, so a quick response is 
appreciated (yes, I've tried restarting a couple 
of times).

My computer has WOU property sticker 20090492[Edit Inv], 
running Mac OS 10.6.8
