sync with google. Richard said there is no way to
do that right now.

Daniel,

The Google Tab addon for calendar is much better
than connecting to it within thunderbird, and a
whole lot easier to use.

I don't think there is a similar add on for tasks.
If you believe items are missing, you can rerun
the migration and just select only new items.

To change the options in replying, go to Tools,
Account Settings, and click on Composition and
Addressing.

The features you want are there.

Thanks,

Thanks Brian; so I don't use the "default"
Thunderbird Calendar but rather the add-on, correct?

Two other questions: 1) Do I need to do a similar
add-on for my "tasks"? It doesn't look like they
have made it over into Thunderbird either; and 2)
Is there an option I can change in my email so
that when I "reply," the cursor is by default at
the top of the email chain rather than the bottom?

Thanks again Brian!

Daniel

Daniel,

You need to add the Thunderbird Google Calendar
add-on.

Go to Tools, Add Ons, and get Google Calendar Tab
3.8 by clarkbw.

When you sign on to it, you must use the
username@mail.wou.edu login. Then it will pop up
an orange box below the password field that says
To Sign in with this account, click continue.
Click Continue. You will then be redirected to
the Google @ Western portal page. Login with your
university user credentials. Thunderbird will ask
if you want to remember the password, it is up to
you whether or not you want to.

Thanks,

Daniel Hare is not able to see his Thunderbird
Calendar. He has recently done the Google
MIgration. He is using both systems and he would
like to see his thunderbird calendar. He has
restarted his computer and that did not correct
the error.
