Ryan called back and it seems W#20090927[Edit Inv] is the 
computer and the computer is the one having the 
issues.  Narrowed it down to that machine.

and thinks he might have a virus.

He is working on a computer in the Library - 
clicked on a clip art image, closed and then the 
computer has started working very slow since 
then.  Restarted and it didn't help.  Taking 
forever for the drives to come up and then it 
froze.  My computer isn't working all correct.  
Logged off and logged in with another user 
account and it worked okay.  Seems to be with his 
login he thinks.
