Thanks, Teresa.

No particular additional software beyond the
Microsoft Office and standard MAC things such as
iPhoto, iMovie, etc., which I believe would come
with the system.

I would need the appropriate printer driver
installed for the HP Officejet Pro 8000 in my
office (I have a CD with that in my office).
I use the Mail utility for MAC, and might need
some help getting that set up to send/receive
from my wou gmail account.

I'll contact Bill about the possibility of using
my existing computer as a lab computer.

Thanks again,

Brian

Hi Brian,

I will get going on your replacement.

I don't know if we can leave the old one out in
circulation. Typically the rules we follow say
that we can only replace a computer if we can
take away the old one. So I don't know about
that piece.

If you wanted to maybe email our director, Bill
Kernan with the question, he would have a better
answer then I.

Do you need any special software or any notes you
would like me to add for your new computer?

Thanks!
Teresa

Thanks, Teresa. I would like to go head with the
Mac Laptop replacement with the specs noted
below. Please let me know how to proceed.

Would it be possible to convert my existing
MacBook to an Exercise Science Lab computer? We
had hoped to replace our three old laptops using
Student Tech fees - but funds were only available
for the one that I picked up Friday. Hanging on
to the Mac would help get us down the road a bit.

In any case, I would like to proceed with the
replacement,

Thanks again,

Brian

Hi Brian,

Hi, Teresa:

The number you have for my Mac Laptop is
correct. I would be very interested in a new
computer, providing its a new version of the 15
inch Macbook Pro as I have. I believe my current
computer also had some extra memory options to
more effectively run a video-based movement
analysis software package I use. I assume the
specs for my machine are in your records, but if
there is anything else I can provide from the
computer please let me know.

I'll be out of town without email access next
week, and off to Germany with a high school
exchange program I help coordinate after that
(through mid August). My email access while in
Germany will be sketchy at best - but if there is
a new machine with my name on it, that would we
wonderful! I would first be able to meet with a
tech to transition things over in mid August.

Thanks - Brian Caster

We are working on replacing older computers on
campus and came across one for you. Our records
show you have a Mac laptop, W#20071114[Edit Inv]. We were
wanting to confirm the W# and see if you were
interested in a replacement?
Just let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks,
