Called again and the paperclip worked.

Left VM
Told him to check My Computer and see if the drive
was showing up there.
If so, right click and eject there.

If that doesn't work told him to try using a paper
clip and putting it into the emergency eject hole
on the front of the DVD drive.

His CD drive won't open on his computer.  Just 
noticed it today.
