Yes, we would be glad to help with wireless.  
This we can do simply.   :)

If you could go to:  www.wou.edu/wireless

There you will register for wireless service and 
not be billed.  It will also send you a password 
to use for the wireless.  You will also want to 
make sure that you select the "wou-secured" 
network.  We are here today in ITC Room 009 until 
5:00 p.m. and have tech's available to help if 
you'd like.

Hi Teresa,

Thanks for getting back to me...It must have been 
installed with
Vista, instead of Windows 7...I will wait, then 
for machine
replacement to upgrade.  Thanks for looking into 
it for me!

I do have a new personal laptop that I would like 
to get wireless
access for use on campus...is this possible?

Hi Patty,

We wanted to get back to you regarding Windows 7 
for your laptop W#20070872[Edit Inv].  Our notes show the 
laptop was purchased in May 2008 and Windows 7 
wasn't released until Fall of 2009. 

We can purchase Windows 7 for you and it would be 
about $50 billed to your department. The other 
option is, that if you wanted to wait for when we 
replace your machine, the new ones do come with 
Windows 7.  So if you could just keep us in the 
loop for when your machine starts becoming a 
problem and we can look at replacing it.

We will keep the ticket open for a UCS technican 
to help with the wireless for this asap.

is anything else that we can help with.

Her computer was purchased in May of 2008 with a
license of Windows Vista Business, Windows 7 did
not get released until Fall of 2009.  She is in
the current years replacement cycle and this is
her primary station so our suggestion would be she
wait for Windows 7 when she gets her GFA
replacement otherwise it is a cost of approx.
$50.00 to upgrade the OS

Hi There,

My computer originally came with Windows 7 but was
reverted to Windows
XP.  I saw that you were updating computers this
term to Windows 7 and
would like to have my computer upgraded as well. 
I was also wondering
if you could reinstall software that is currently
on my system to the
new operating system.

I'm located in NS012, and my computer is a Dell
Laptop, WOU ID
20070872[Edit Inv].  I will leave the laptop in my office
for updating at your
convenience.  Also, it has been acting a little
bit glitche,
especially if it goes into the hibernate
mode...but I'm hoping the new
operating system will clear up these difficulties.

I also recently purchased a new, smaller laptop
and was wondering if I
could get wireless internet access for this laptop
for use at the
school...ie mainly to transfer files back and
forth.  My IP address on
this Toshiba Satellite laptop is 98.232.216.6   
Do you need any
additional information for me to hook this unit up
to the internet?
