Hello JoNan,

Last week I was assigned a task regarding the licensing of 
PeopleWare on a station for Brian Sly-Haley that was being 
upgraded to Windows 7.    I have looked into the history and 
details on PeopleWare and have found minimal information 
besides that it was on annual renewal up until a couple years 
ago, when the product changed significantly and was no longer 
renewed by DEP.  

It appears that the initial purchase may have been started by DEP 
and UCS only got involved down the road to process the annual 
software renewal contract.   I found no record of UCS recieving 
the licensing info or software media.  We do have a copy of the 
installer from 2006 on our software repository but it has no 
serial key or product key to complete registration.  I can only 
assume that the media and license info was sent  straight to DEP. 

My question for you is, does your office still use PeopleWare and 
if so do you have software media(especially if it is newer then 
2006) or other licensing information(product key?).  I have 
informed the technician that we do not have that information 
and so we are not able to complete Brian Sly Haley's installation 
at this time.  I will place Service Request #45995 for PeopleWare 
installation on hold until I hear back from you.

I am looking into this...it is a package that was 
on annual renewal for quite sometime and no media 
was delivered to UCS....The DEP staff may have 
rec'd it directly.  BUT it was not renewed and I 
need to discuss the details with Michael Ellis in 
the morning as he may have more info about this

this.

Greetings,

 

My machine was upgraded to Windows 7 about a month
ago and I have since lost access to Peopleware
Pro. The software was installed on the PC but I
receive an error message every time I try to log
in. Here is the error message:

The demonstration period for this product has
expired. Your dad will remain intact, but the
program will not function without new System
Activation Codes.
Call PEOPLEWARE Inc. at 1-800-869-7166 to request
System Activation Codes.
Enter System Codes now? 
 

Is it possible to get the activation codes so I
can use the software?
