I switched some settings around on the print
server so that it suited how advancement wanted
the printer to function. They are all up and
running now.

I unplugged the printer and the network connection
and then plugged it
back in again. When I go to properties I get the
new driver with options
for all 4 trays but it is still doing the old
trick of wanting to go to
tray 1, the manual tray, instead of tray 4. I have
tried setting the
printer properties to Automatically Select and
Tray 4 and it is still
trying to go to the manual feed tray 1.

Please, please, please, will you try to resolve this?

Adam changed the setting. They should be able to see and use all
4 tray if needed.
Left her a VM. Told her she might need to disconnect that printer
and then reconnect to it to download the new drivers.

When tried to print for her it automatically went to Tray 4 and
printed normal paper.
Problem is with student workers around her. When they try and
print it won't print until someone manually goes over and
presses ok.
Until then all other print jobs don't go through. Student workers
all need an option to choose which tray to print to.

to UCS, Scott

I think we have a driver problem with our printer
UA-Mallard (20071020). I am selecting UA-Mallard
on Krusty because I have Windows 7. UA-Mallard has
a manual tray (tray 1) and two regular trays
(trays 2 & 3) plus a large capacity bin (tray 4).
When I go into the printer preferences/properties
from the Print menu, my choices of ¿source¿ are
Automatically Select, Printer Auto Select, Tray 1,
Tray 2, and Manual Feed (Tray 1). There are no
options for printing to tray 3 or tray 4.

I can make it print to tray 4 by letting it auto
select. It wants to go to tray 1 but it is empty
so I get an error. I then can go to the machine
and tell it to print to tray 4. This is a
work-around but when there are so many people
printing to this printer (including people who
don¿t know the work-around) it is NOT a good solution.

Thank you for your help.
