Laptop got a new hard drive.  It is done and on
its way home to Eugene.

Richard talked with Apple Care and performed all
suggestions:  zeroed out HD and tried installing
newest OS (Lion).  Neither worked.  Apple Care
suggested bringing the laptop into an Apple or Mac
store.

The laptop will be brought into the Corvallis Mac
store today.

I checked in with Lori and Michael and they said
that mac book is going to the mac store. Michael
said that he has emailed Ella who included Donald
as well.

We just hired a new person; this machine is
intended to go to her. What needs to happen to get
it finished and when will it be ready.

We sent it up in mid April and were sure it would
be ready two months later...

We have had a change. We want to prep this 
machine for a new user. Can it be repaired and 
ready for the new employee by May 15?

They called and need some important info from some
of their 'stickies 'that they didn't get off the
computer before handing it over. They need someone
to call them so they can get this info.

Please keep the information that is on desktop 
sticky notes! You can copy and paste the info 
into another form if needed. She just doesn't 
want to lose the info.

Can you please assess and repair Ann's computer 
(20091535)? We have backed up the disk so do not 
need anything saved.


Symptoms are SLOWness, really, really slow--like 
20-minute boot times, 1 character per minute 
typing...


Verify says the disk needs repaired but it won't 
boot from a CD so I can repair it.


I am sending it up with Laura Beck tomorrow 
(Friday).
