ran safemode, and check disk, it let me boot after
restart, after which I ran all the updates, and it
seemed stable and working.

Windows will not update. It gets to about 20% and
then freezes. They uses this computer as a
projector computer and it also has watch out on
it. They need this fixed ASAP because they have
shows coming up.
