Called and it sounds like they would need a local account set up 
because they are having people from many different 
departments come and work on similar documents.
Computer is up to date and ready to be delivered.
She said they wouldn't have a station set up for the computer till 
mid next week though.

Going to talk with Bill or Michael about setting up the local 
account.

Is this a temporary station that won't be needed
after week 5? 
Yes, we will no longer need the Mac after the 5th
week of winter term.

What are the software and usage needs? 
We need a shared folder, with access given to
Wanda, Katherine Schmidt, Cornelia Paraskevas, and
special login--but it should also have public
access to store electronic evidence for links in
accreditation report. We will be using Word and
public evidence folders (unless you have a more
efficient suggestion). 

As far as charges go if this a a temp loan of
older equipment then the only charges will be for
if a network jack is not available where this
station will be in use( so a telecom related charge).
We do have a network jack in the location.

If special log in is due to an off campus user(not
WOU affiliated) or why that is needed.
It is only needed because we will have multiple
users (20+) who need to be able to access the docs
in the WC without help, if necessary. We would
like to leave the computer up and running during
business hours for lead writers to come and go as
it fits their schedules/our needs.

This is not a purchase request. Only a request for
a loaner computer for 5 weeks. We did something
similar this term in the WC to accommodate
research needs.
