Printer still having issues.

It keeps having fuser and jam errors. It is
inconsistent. Beginning of the day on first
couple print jobs, throughout the day with heavier
jobs, and here and there with jams. Maintenance
kit was installed not long ago. I don't think the
problem is hardware. I also don't think the
amount of jobs processed is a factor. It may need
some sort of software update or just be replaced.

I told them about large print jobs should be sent
to the print shop but they said that the prints
come from banner.

They also said there is a fuser error which could
be an overheat when they print their first job.

It also jams when they use thicker paper printed
from banner, they dont change paper types when
printing. I told them that could be one of the issues

I reseated the fuser and cleaned off some chunks
of melted something on the roller.

I ended with printing off about 30 pages with no
problems.

****This is an email****
Good Morning,

One of our printers in Admissions (nicknamed
"Rose" and it's in our processing area) has a
problem when it prints too many pages at one time.
When it prints more than 30 pages at a time or so
it either smears the ink on the page, prints a
lighter version of the document, or a blank page.
The paper that comes out feels pretty hot, so I'm
not sure if it over heats, or something else. It
isn't out of toner, because when we print a few
pages it prints as normal. The main problem with
this issue is that "Rose" is the printer we use to
generate acceptance letters from Banner, and if
it's a large batch we can't tell it to print
less--it prints however many are in the queue.
Please let me know if you need additional
information or have questions.

Thank you,

Lori Palmer
