Tricia contacted Epson with all needed information
so that we can receive the replacement 3880
printer. Once received, the Mac addr will need to
be changed out and all computers in ITC 210 will
need to be changed to show the new printer.

Old printer will need to be shipped back to Epson

****This is an email****
Our "Kandinski" printer is acting up, at a really
bad time!

It's the right-hand Epson 3880, WOU id# 20120612[Edit Inv],
and the issue seems to be network communication. A
few people sent print jobs that never printed, the
progress bar just keeps spinning away, and it
never gave an error message. And some simply saw
"error" in the Print Queue dialog box, but no
error message to follow. I powered it off for a
few minutes and tried again, but no luck. The
printer drivers still appears as expected, so it's
not the same issue ('broken" driver) that we
encountered on the other 3880 in the back room a
few weeks back. I even sent a test page, through
the printer utility, and it disappeared from the
queue, giving the appearance of having been
printed, but the status just continued to say
'Ready' without printing anything.

The students are working on a BIG project that
needs printing tonight and/or tomorrow, so being
down to one printer is inconvenient. They are
printing directly from InDesign and from Acrobat
Reader.
Any help you can give is much appreciated!

Thanks,
Jen Bracy
