Black ink cartridge is not genuine HP ink. Told them to buy genuine 
HP ink!

Good news and bad news.
I updated the drivers, and then found that the black ink was out. 
I went and grabbed some from Kimber and replaced it.

Good news: It worked!!!! Printer is back in business.

Bad news: The ink cartridges that your department has are just 
generic ink cartridges. When I did test prints, the paper had 
streaks across the page. I took out the new cartridge and gave it 
to the receptionist with some of the test prints that had streaks 
in them. So when you get to your office you'll see your printer 
open with an empty black (K) ink cartridge. Also, I left other test 
print pages on your keyboard so you could see the quality of the 
ink. I told them I would recommend getting genuine HP ink 
cartridges. That should fix the streaking.

You'll have to get that cartridge in the printer before it will print 
again though. After that it should work!

If it is just out of ink, I will have one heck of a laugh (and will owe 
you at least a coffee!). I do not have a replacement cartridge. If you 
have one, can you see if that is the problem?

it seems to be out of black ink. Do you have a replacement 
cartridge? I could replace it for you and see if that is the issue.

Hi Andrew,

My husband, Marcus, is in on Thursday and can let you in at 
12:30. He has class at 1pm so he will leave you in the office to 
work on the printer. 

Is this ok with you? If so, when you leave, just make sure you 
close the door behind you and make sure it is locked.

Please let me know if this works.

verify that there is a hardware problem. I am available Thursday

Hi Andrew,
 
Thanks for responding. We had a tech come to work on the 
printer in our office for about an hour+ 2-3 weeks bacl (maybe 
earlier) but he said it was broken and that he needed to now 
speak with the equipment folks to see how to proceed.
 
If you are sending someone to try working on it again, Wed. or 
Thurs. I can open the office for the tech to work. However, if you 
are taking the printer, you can come by on Tuesday though I 
need to confirm with Marcus (we share an office) as to when he 
will be in.

She is still unable to print to her office printer
that is the listed WOU#.  When she tries to print
she gets a little green flash but computer doesn't
say it was sent and the printer doesn't react. 
She would like contact to set up an appt.  Email
her for best contact.

She can print to Ed networked one but still not
her office computer.  This is not a networked
printer.  The WOU number on this ticket is her
office one that she needs to be able to print to.

She called to check on the status of the printer
in her office and being able to work.  Tech said
he had to check on warranty and he would get back
to her. 

When she tries to print to ED-gondor printer the
print job never makes it to printer.  When they
try to print to ED-MAT an error says "kernel
error" as well.  Trying to print Word docs.

She is in on Monday 1130-1230.  No one is around
today but techs are welcome to enter.

When she tries to print Word docs to her printer,
it never gets there.  There is no error on the
printer screen.  She has tried to restart and
still nothing gets to it.  It was working earlier
and now nothing gets to the printer.
