Mac is on Laven's chair. Most likely a hardware
issue. Apple will need to be contacted.

Mac starts up just fine and about 10-45mins later
the screen freezes and he turns it off and back on
and then freezes again. Mouse moves when it is
frozen, just nothing responds. Computer is back
up front at SRD

****This is an email****
Hello,

Can you please let me know the status of this
service request ASAP? The machine is my primary
work machine and it's difficult for me to complete
any significant work without it. I would like to
know if the laptop can be fixed by UCS or will
need to be shipped to Apple.

Thank you.

Just checking in on the status of this request. I
don't have my ticket number but the computer
number is 20110553[Edit Inv] (MacBook Pro).

Can you please let me know if a tech has been able
to look at the machine at all? I'm sorry to be a
pest but this is pretty critical issue as it's my
primary work machine.

Also, could you please let me know the ticket
number of the request?

Thanks!

Jeff

When he starts up the Mac sometimes the boot up
process doesn't finish and crashes or he will get
it on and it will still crash shortly after. He
thinks it might have to do with Parallels and if
this is the case, you can uninstall it. It all
started couple days ago and message came up and
said to reboot and ever since then he has been
having problems.

Don't call office, he is in and out of campus so
email and cell work best. On campus all day tomorrow.

Hello,

I have a WOU MacBook Pro 15" (20110553) and it
bagan acting strange over the weekend. For no
apparent reason, the screen will go slightly dark
and a message will pop up telling me I need to
shut down the machine. The first time this
happened, I was able to shut down, reboot, and the
computer worked fine. The next day, however, it
took several reboots before the machine was able
to run stable for more than a few minutes. The
screen would go completely dark - reboot and repeat.

It seems to be running ok for now but I'm thinking
it should be checked out. I'm working off-site
today but will be on campus tomorrow. Should I
bring it over and have you guys check it out
tomorrow at some point? If it needs to go back to
Apple, approximately how long do you think it will
take to fix?

Thanks - I appreciate your help with this.
