These are second hand/hand-me-down stations that
were give top SEP basically in an as is state. 
They are not maintained by UCS or Student Tech
Fee, If a battery could be purchased its cost
would outweigh an real usable life left in the
laptop due to its age.  I was advise them to take
it out of service and we should not spend much
time working on these 8 year old laptops. They do
have newer checkout laptops

Tricia:  Do we replace these batteries or would
the department order these if they are still
available?

Hello,

We have a laptop that keeps having the low battery
alert pop up and also a "you should change your
battery or switch to outlet power immediately". 
We were just wondering if you could take a look at
