Found that the Mini DisplayPort to DVI adapter was bad. Wiring is 
all wonky and the adapter needs to be oriented funny so that the 
wires connect properly. Instructed him to go through his 
department to purchase a new one or to buy one for his own 
personal use. Told him that if he went with the latter route, he 
would not be reimbursed.

His monitor is going in and out all the time.  He
has played with the plugs but it has a weird
display and isn't working consistently.   The
number for the monitor is 20031400[Edit Inv].

He is around till 2 today and Wednesday till 330.
 He needs it done soon so he can work.
