I talked to McEvilly and he said that the Optiplex 9010's have a
special card in the front that assigns itself drive letters. All we
have to do is go into disk management and change the drives
that it is taking up to some of the lower letters so that the Home
drive can take up the H space.

Dyl and I installed HLM 7. H was not a mappable drive and we
couldn't figure out how to make it so that it could be mapped.

We tried using the disk management tool and saw that H and
several other drives had a "No Media" status. The issue is not
limited to his profile either, as Dyl was having the same issue.

We tried unplugging extraneous USB devices as well, since
Windows is occasionally confused about what is a drive and what
is not. This did not give us the desired result.

We gave him a temporary solution of creating a shortcut to his
home drive.

He tried restarting and powered up the first time
he got his computer back with wired connections
and H: is not available or seen on his computer.
He also had the problem on his loaner machine.
When he goes to the lab computers, it shows there.
I tried walking him through mapping it but there
was no H listed in the mapping options for him to try.

HLM7 was on his computer before the techs worked
on it and now it isn't on there.

He will be in his office for the rest of the day.
