Hello,

I received a voicemail that my computer is ready
to be dropped off. I will be available today
(Wednesday, August 21st) from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm.
The computer goes in NS 021A, but I might be
teaching during that window in NS 006. You are
welcome to come find me in NS 006 if you come
between 8:30-10 or 12:30-2, but between 8-8:30 and
12-12:30 I will be lecturing to my class.

Hello,

I am a faculty member in the Biology department
and I have a PC that is having some troubles. The
PC is in NS 021A. The following PC
reinstall/update has been approved by Steve Taylor
in NS.

The computer regularly flashes up the blue screen
with the error messages and then shuts down. When
it reboots it says something like "Windows has
recovered from a serious error." Would it be
possible to have a reinstall of the operating
system to get a complete system refresh to make
sure that this issue does not happen again? It was
running Windows 7. Is Windows 7 still the
supported operating system or are you converting
to Windows 8? If you are converting to Windows 8,
would you consider my system for an upgrade to
that OS?

With the reinstall, I would need MS Office (Word,
Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) and antivirus
software.

I use this computer regularly so if it would be
possible, would you please let me know how long
this process would take?
