We could not find his files in his H: drive, though I suspect it may 
be because of the organization system and the inefficiencies of 
the Finder search tool. I did, however, show him how to connect 
to his H: drive and told him to continue saving documents to this 
instead of his desktop.

Also, he requested that I show him how to convert TIFF files to 
JPEG files. I did this and he took detailed notes on the process 
and was comfortable with it.

Today he went in to get old word documents and 
they were not there. He was unaware that things 
would be missing, please give him a call and let 
him know what we did.

Dropped the computer off in his office. The new computer set up 
will be in a different service request, likely carried out by Dale 
Goodell.

Kim gave me a call to let me know that he was going to get the 
27" iMac. I let him know that I was done working on his 
computer and he requested that I set it up in his office today and 
that the secretary could let me in since he wasn't in today. I told 
him that he wouldn't have CS3 on there anymore as well since it 
is incompatible with both his new Mac and the updated OS on his 
current Mac. He's okay with that.

Managed to install iLife 09 but found that Apple dropped 
support for Rosetta, which allows applications built for the 
PowerPC framework to run, in Lion. Now that he has Mountain 
Lion, I am unable to install Adobe CS3. I will shoot him an email 
to ask him if he wants the newer OS or if he would rather have 
Adobe CS3.

Computer only needs iLife, Adobe Reader, and Adobe CS3 installed.

Talked to Tricia. She said that she talked to Scott (CA department 
head) and it sounds like they're going to go for the 27". She hasn't 
recieved the full information though and she mentioned that he is 
going to need his computer back in the mean time.

I've imaged the computer. It sounds like he will be getting a 21" 
iMac as a replacement machine. I'm holding off on adding Adobe 
CS3 and iLife until we know whether or not he's going to be getting 
a new computer or not.

Talked to Tricia about getting him a GFA replacement. She said 
that he is eligible, but his options are a 13" Mac laptop or a 21" 
iMac desktop. He can get a 27" iMac desktop as well, but his 
department would have to fork over the extra money. I caught 
him on his way out the door for lunch and let him know. He's 
going to give me a call in about an hour or so when he returns 
from lunch to let me know.

Met up with him and had him run me through what was going 
on. It was giving off a few error messages about missing Library 
files and Safari was out of date and unable to display some 
webpages as a result. The desktop was full of documents and the 
computer was running very slow as a whole. When I ran Software 
Update, the program would hang there and fail to update. I tried 
to delete (and recreate) a possibly corrupt Library without any 
success. Since his computer was running pretty poorly to begin 
with, I decided that the best thing we could do is reimage it. I 
moved over all his files to the network drive and then brought 
the computer back to the office. He decided that he wouldn't 
need a loaner machine.

He will open safari and try to go to the portal
page to log in. When he does this his safari just
closes and goes away. I had him re start his
computer and try it again except this time it said
insecure start up and then looked like it was
loading but never did anything after that. 

He would like to be contacted by his cell phone
which is 503-508-8079.

He will be in today from 8AM to 3:15PM. He is not
here on friday but is here on monday from 9:30AM
to 12PM
