DVI cable was bad. Replaced it, good to go.

The monitor is black but will flash the image on
the screen and then go away.  She checked all the
cables and everything is plugged in just fine. 
The power button is green and it keeps cycling
around when it flashes.

Jolene is the student worker who called in.  It is
at the advising office  front desk.
