Out of 500 GB there was about 8 left.  He is going
to move some things over to an external hard drive
or possibly the network and free up some space. 
It could also be a software issue when it is
launched and then fast again when it is closed. 
Once he moves everything over and frees up some
space he will call back if it is still slow and we
will reopen this task and troubleshoot a different
idea.  I'm pretty sure though that it is due to
the lack of hard drive space and amount stored.
