Hasn't had any issues with PDFs today. Tested it, only thing that
seemed out of the ordingary is that the printer always displayed
port 9100 whenever it was printing, no matter the file format. There
is an option to disable port 9100 on the printer, but I'm leaving it
alone for now.

I recommend we have someone check on the status of the device
over the course of the week. If it doesn't act up again, we'll close
the SR.

When printing PDFs, especially multi page documents, it will
print maybe 1 page then stop for a long time. The display on the
printer says "Processing Port 9100". After waiting a while it will
eventually spit out another page.

There also seems to be a problem with PDFs from FEDEX in
Firefox, it consistently printed terribly incorrect pages.

****This is an email****
I need to have someone come fix my printer again.
This is getting quite ridiculous. I've spent $500
on a printer that only works about 1/2 the time.

The printer name is Krusty/bo-geordi part #20130586[Edit Inv]
Computers hooked up to it: #20091120[Edit Inv] and 20091021[Edit Inv]

I tried to print out a 10 page fedex invoice and
it took two minutes for the printer to even START
printing, then it didn't even really print. See
the attached pictures to see what printed.

This is the THIRD time that I've had issues with
this printer since it was purchased and installed
and it's getting old. I'm sorry to sound so
bitchy, but I need this thing to actually work.

Thank you,

Amanda, Mail Services, ITC 111

****This is an email****
Mail Services purchased a printer towards the end
of last month and it still isn't working very
well. The name of the printer is Krusty/BO/Geordi
and the part number is 20130586[Edit Inv]. Geordi is
networked to two different computers , part
numbers 20091021[Edit Inv] and 20091120[Edit Inv] .

When printing from computer 1021, there is a 1-2
minute delay before printing actually commences.
After printing commences, it completes the job
quickly.

When printing from computer 1120, however,
initialization takes 1-2 minutes, and then there
is a delay of anywhere between 1 and 3 minutes in
between printing individual pages. For instance
when printing a seven page document yesterday, it
took me a little over 10 minutes. It printed page
one after a two minute delay, then three minutes
later, it printed page two... and so on.

I had this problem when it was first installed,
and it was fixed for a little while, but then the
problem seems to have resurfaced. I spent over
$500 on this machine and I can't use it. Please
get someone to fix this soon.

Thank you!

Amanda Bales (ITC 111)
