My Foxfire browser was not opening internet files
but was trying to save them to web.dodownload.
Someone came over from UCS to fix it so that files
would open in my window instead of trying to save
as this obscure filename. It has reverted back to
trying to save the pages to that filename. Would
someone please come over and fix it again and
write down what they did so that I can do it the
next time this happens? It works ok in IE but that
is not my browser of choice.

Thank you.

It wasn't reading that specific file as pdf and
was trying to use some generic Windows application
to open it. Updated both Firefox and Adobe
Acrobat. That seemed to do the trick and allow
her to open it as a pdf.

Under the General Tab, Downloads, ¿Save files to¿
is unchecked. The other option is ¿Always ask me
where to save files¿ is checked. It has to be one
or the other. I don¿t want either.

The error is that it can¿t open the download
because Windows needs to know what program to use
to open it. The reason it doesn¿t know which
program is because the file it says it is trying
to open is ¿web.dodownload¿.

It is only happening on Firefox and not on
Internet Explorer.

I can¿t open files in Firefox. They ask me to save
to a location , aren¿t names right, and can¿t find
the app to open that filetype (because it¿s saying
the name and type of file is web.dodownload).
