Warranty power supply was received and swapped. 
Put the old one on Lori's desk and delivered the
computer back to ITC 311.  Ran updates. Everything
seemed fine.

took and swapped PSU with another computer. when
the new PSU was in the problem device the computer
ran like normal. leading the conclusion that the
PSU was the problem.

The other computer was missing the network
adapter's driver.  Fixed now.

yellow power light was on the the front of the
computer. we were not able to power on the device.
after that we opened the side of the computer and
saw that the mother board had no led lights on.
leading to the conclusion of the bad PSU.
