Delivered and set up computer yesterday afternoon.  Installed final 
updates on machine.  Mapped H, I, J drives.  Added ED-Copier, ED-
DownstairsCopier, and ED-Guppy printers.  Installed newer Remote 
Desktop application and connected to TS.  Showed Mickey how to 
access Filemaker on TS as she has access.  Changed mouse to right-
click in lower right-hand corner.  Helped her connect to wireless on 
WOU iPad.

Will need to help Mickey connect to TS through 
newer Remote Desktop App as she has a license 
to access FileMaker Pro 12 from the terminal 
servers.  She is supposed to get a FMP12 
license from Bob Brownbridge later.

Hi Mickey,

Yes, I can meet you in ED at 2:00 pm.  We can 
meet anywhere in the building.  It is easier to 
do it close to your location so I have access 
to the printers you want setup on the machine.  
If you know what printers you want loaded on 
your machine, I can do that, too, before 
bringing everything over to you - just let me 
know their names - ex: Gondor; Guppy.  Any 
documents that are currently saved to your 
desktop will need to be moved to your home 
drive, which is the same drive you have listed 
above.  If you already have everything in 
there, you should be good to go.

Please let me know if you have any questions.  
I will see you Friday.

Does 2:00 work for you?  My office computer 
space is a bit cramped but if that is the best 
place then let's meet in Ed 102.
Please tell me where and how to back up my 
current computer and if I should copy 
everything that is on the current computer.
I use the following for backup: 
smb//homep.wou.edu/pardew/pardew
Is this where I copy to?

I just wanted to touch base with you regarding 
the new MacBook Pro setup we have scheduled for 
this Friday.  Will Friday still work for you?  
I dont have a specific time in my calendar for 
you, so if Friday is still on, please let me 
know what time would work best and I will meet

Mickey will swing by Dec 19 with her current 
laptop while we transfer any licensed products.  
She did mention she was going to try to get a 
license for FileMaker Pro 12 as she currently 
has v. 10.  She also has a personal copy of 
Acrobat her son installed and has her local 
copier at home on her current laptop.

Hi Mickey,

I just wanted to touch base with you regarding 
the MacBook pro we have for you.  You mentioned 
waiting until Winter break to have to MacBook 
delivered.  Is there a day/time that would work 
best for you in late December?  I would like to 
get something scheduled with you so I make sure 
to meet you when you are available.

Perfect!  I am thinking that once finals are 
over and grades are posted we will have 3 weeks 
to get things up and going.  I need it so much 
for student work that I can't afford any 
delays.  I appreciate your holding it for me to 
allow for a good transfer.

Not a problem!  We can hold off on the laptop 
upgrade for a while.  I can also assist you in 
deciding what should be moved over to the new 
laptop.  Please keep me updated in the next few 
months as to a time that would work better for 
you.

Lori,
Thank you for letting me know.  I would like to 
delay set up for a while.  I have two faculty 
members (there are 3 of us) out on medical 
leave for fall term (just found out at the 
start of the term).  That has left me with an 
enormous work load and the need for NO 
interruption in my computer use.  I go out into 
the schools during the day and am on campus for 
classes every evening (M-Th) until after 
9:30pm. 

I request that we set up a future date when I 
can figure out how to handle the transfer with 
very little stress. I hope you understand.  I 
would like to bring my current laptop over and 
have you look at what I now have in 
applications and you can tell me what will 
transfer and what will not.

Hello,

We have a new MacBook Pro ready to deliver to 
you and set up.  Before we can set everything 
up, please transfer anything you might have 
saved locally (to your desktop) to a network 
drive such as your H drive.  This will allow us 
to transfer everything to your new laptop.  
Please let me know your availability as well 
and I can make an appointment with you to 
deliver your new laptop.

NEW EQUIP SETUP: (GFA) A MacBook Pro needs to be setup and delivered 
to Mickey Pardew in ED 102A. The WOU # of the new laptop is 20130555[Edit Inv] 
and the WOU # of the old laptop is 20090437[Edit Inv]. The equipment is on the 
shelves across from the restroom in ITC 009.
