Hi Megan,

I¿m back. I printed an envelope just now and the

Will keep you posted.

Jan,

I just wanted to check in with you to see if you are
back from break and had a chance to try out the
new printer. I did test prints with your envelopes
you gave me awhile back and they came out
great.

Hope you had a great break!

Jerry will be emailing me today with the paperwork
for a loaner printer for Jan. I spoke with Jan and
she knows that a replacement loaner is on the way.
If this printer does what is needed then Jerry and
I will work on getting that model to Jan.

She went to try and change the settings and it
won't let her change the settings on through the
terminal server. She said when it was printing
the checks and it steamed this time.

I just ran "pre-checks" which are checks printed
on regular paper
before I print the checks themselves. They started
running into each
other when they got to the 19th sheet. They
collide first on the left
side of the stack. I will run checks now on
"heavy" paper as
suggested.

The printer is functioning like it should. Jan is
not selecting the correct paper source. She didn't
want to do any test. She will be printing checks
next Friday 10/31. I suggested trying card stock
or thick paper.

She is using regular letter paper and her printer
setting for type is set as "printer default". She
was able to find the cardstock and thick option
but will try it next week when she runs checks again.

Not so fast. I just now printed checks. The check
stock is slightly
different than the regular white paper that I use
but not by much. It
curled as it came out of the machine. On the sixth
check the paper coming
out of the printer ran into the edge of page 5 and
shot page 6 out onto my
desk. Page 7 ended up on the floor before I could
catch it. I ONLY ran 19
checks and yet I had to unload the tray three
times to keep the checks
from getting out of order and going all over the
place. This is just one
example of the problem with this printer. It
either needs to be fixed or
replaced.

Thank you.

The new fuser was having some issues, but after
working on it at my desk the print out came out
fine.

Just now I printed 15 pages (on standard white
paper). Starting at about page 13 the outcoming
sheets hooked the curled edges of the pages laying
in the output tray and they shot out on the desk
and floor. It is definitely printing too hot. Hot
enough to curl the paper and consequently to get
the pages out of order and all over the place. Is
this something that can be fixed or what? Thanks.

The printer is definitely overheating, but the
problem continued when I made space around it for
air. Reassigning it to UCS tech, anyone who knows
how to fix this should pick it up.

Make sure to check the location of this
printer-does it have space around it to get air.
This model tends to overheat when there isn't
enough air circulation. -ME

This is a follow-on to my previous email. Also, I
need to be able to run individual envelopes
through the printer and it is definitely set up to
do this. The problem is that the envelope gets so
hot apparently that it seals the envelope. It is
totally useless to me to have the envelope sealed
when it comes out ¿ it¿s totally useless.

This is not a networked printer. It is local. It
is a Xerox Phaser 3250 and it is located in the
Cottage Rm 208. Ok, so I do use it on the terminal
server jetson and there it is called
\\ua01448carlsonj\Xerox Phaser 3250.

I am having a problem with my printer (I¿ve had
the problem since I got it but it just now annoyed
me so much I decided to try to tackle the
problem). When the paper comes out it won¿t even
print 15 copies but what they start to get all
jumbled. The pages curl once they are out of the
machine and new pages hang up on the curled sheets
and they start going wherever they can. They do
NOT lie flat and so get all jumbled. This is a
REAL PROBLEM when the output needs to stay in
order and I don¿t want them all over the floor.

Will someone please come and fix this?

Thank you.
