Hi Dawn,

Gail Leslie requested a replacement laptop 
battery for her Dell Latitude E6420 (WOU# 
20110622).  The battery is no longer under 
warranty, so I contacted Dell to get a cost 
quote.  I am attaching that quote to this 
email.  Please let me know if your department 
will approve the purchase of a new battery and 
if so please also provide an index to charge 
and I will submit a Purchase Request.

Hi Leslie,

Laptop batteries need to be ordered by the 
department.  Typically, I receive a quote from 
Dell that describes how much a new battery will 
cost for a specific laptop.  I forward that 
quote to the department head and they usually 
provide me with an index code to charge to 
replace the battery.  I will go ahead and get 
in contact with Dell and have them provide me 
with that information.  Once I receive the 
quote, I will get in contact with Dawn Brown to 
see if she can approve the purchase of a new 
battery for you.
