Started Windows normally, and everything loaded.  
Reminded him to back up to his drive in case this 
is a recurring problem.

Computer wont start up. It's just showing a black
boot manager screen and when he tries to follow
the instructions to get his computer back on he
said there is an audible alarm sound and it
freezes up and takes him back to the original boot
screen.
