Dell keeps telling me the serial number of the 
monitor is incorrect.  Will bring monitor back so 
I can call Dell for replacement.

took a look at the monitor looks like it could be two different 
problems we first tried a restart which seems to have solved the 
problem for now but it happens regularly and when it happens 
the whole monitor shuts off. this leads to it possibly being a 
hardware issue. talked to lori and she is looking into getting a 
replacement for that monitor

Hi Trisha,

I closed the ticket for the computer, but am 
leaving the ticket open for your monitor.  I am 
going to request a warranty replacement through 
Dell for that.  Please refer to ticket 55471 
for any updates on the monitor.  Pending Dell's 
approval of the warranty request, we should 
receive the new monitor within 1-2 business 
days.  I will let you know when we receive it.

Trisha's monitor is randomly powering off.  We 
have replaced both the video card and cable.  I 
will submit a warranty request through Dell for a 
monitor replacement.

today she came in and is having the same problem
with the same monitor.  Her second monitor is not
having any problems, just the one we worked on
already.

She called back and said that it was happening
again. I have sent mile down to look at it.

She has double screens and one of the screens is
flashing on and off. when it comes on it says
Display port input. I have tried to help her
switch what input she was on but the screen does
not stay on long enough for her to check. The
screen that is doing this is also the screen her
mouse is stuck on. This is making is so that she
can not use her computer at all.
