Talked to Dale and said it is an issue with out
students are trying to print PDFs.  He is going to
talk to the instructors about it.

I was in ITC 311 today and printed both PDF and
Word documents without any trouble.  When Dale is
available I will find out if this is still an issue.

ched is the grading sheet PDF file that 
students were attempting to print yesterday 
with problems in ITC 311.

From what I understand, they are at this web 
page:
http://www.wou.edu/las/cs/csclasses/
and they click on the link at the top for 
CS161.  The offending PDF is at the link "Lab 
#2 Grade Sheet".  From what I understand, 
students are just opening the file and printing 
it, without saving the file anywhere.

I believe the printing problems yesterday were 
more global in nature, as another student 
reported the same error when trying to print 
another PDF file.  As I told you yesterday, I'm 
not sure if printing issues are solely with PDF 
files, or if other file formats are problematic 
as well.

I have never tried to print to any of the 
student printers from my login, but I assume I 
do not have permissions.

Let me know if you want me to do any testing or 
if you need more information.

Dale was made aware by a few students that when 
trying to print PDF files, the pages being 
printed were printing in code - almost like a 
dump file. Please look to make sure that the 
computers in ITC 311 are pulling the PS driver 
and not a PCL driver.

I have an example of what was printed and Dale 
knows specifically what file was throwing this 
type of print, a PDF from CS161.
