FileMaker from the terminal servers.  Please

another student who was taken out of the group.

Emailed Carmen and let her know that I am not 
finding that Tia Maslen ever had access to 
FileMaker Pro, so there is no license I can 
give to James.  Asked her for any additional 
information that might help us get him a 
license.

on if we can add this user to the list for 
FileMaker Pro.  Waiting to hear back from Carmen.

Carmen emailed Sue and let her know why she is 
wanting this student to have access to 
FileMaker Pro 12.  Have not yet heard from Sue 
as to a decision on the addition of him or not.  
She would need to delete a user from that group 
or purchase another license.

Hi Sue,

I am just wanting to touch base with you 
regarding FileMaker Pro 12 for a student (James 
Kelly).  Carmen Caceda is the faculty member 
requesting he have access.  I do know that all 
FileMaker Pro 12 licenses are in use on the 
terminal server, and it doesn't appear that any 
students are using those licenses - only 
faculty/staff members.  It does, however, look 
that students are using the older FileMaker Pro 
version on the terminal servers, but all of 
those licenses are in use as well, so we would 
need to delete a user in order to add James.  
Please let me know how you would like me to 
proceed.

Hi Carmen,

We have a duplicate ticket regarding FileMaker 
Pro on a student computer for James Kelly.  I 
have contacted Sue Thompson, who is the license 
holder for FileMaker Pro 12.  She was looking 
into why this student would need access to 
FileMaker Pro 12.  I am closing out the 
duplicate ticket, so please refer to the 
following ticket for any updates:  SR 56133.  I 
am contacting Sue again to give her your 
contact information so she can look further 
into this and let me know if it is okayed or 
not.  Currently, all FileMaker Pro licenses are 
in use and we do not have an additional license 
for this student.

Emailed both Carmen Caceda, who is requesting 
FileMaker Pro 12 on this student station (James 
Kelly)

Emailed Sue Thompson to give her more 
information and to find out the status of 
adding James to list of users.

Hi Sue,

I hope you are the correct person to send this 
to, but if not, could you please point me in 
the right direction?

We received a request from James Kelly, a 
student, to have FileMaker Pro 12 installed on 
his office computer.  I know the ED department 
uses FileMaker Pro 12 from the terminal servers 
and we don't have any available licenses left 
to add him as a user.  If you would like us to 
add him to the list of users, is there someone 
that we can delete from the group?  I can send 
you a list of users if needed.  Please let me 
know how you would like to proceed.

Another option for the Ed department on this 
FileMaker Pro 12 ticket:

We have FileMaker Pro 12 installed on the 
terminal servers, however we have it locked 
down to specific users as only so many licenses 
were purchased.  The Ed department would have 
to release one user from that group (and they 
would have to notify us of that user) and we 
could add this student in that place.  Then, 
they wouldn't have to purchase another license.

Also, James is a student, so he wouldn't be 
able to enter a purchase request.  Kimber or 
Darla would be able to purchase additional 
licenses, however.

Tunde, can you contact James and let him know this 
information. If he needs FileMaker 12 he will need to put in 
a purchase request with an index number. Ask Tricia if you 
need any more info on FileMaker.

The issue is not the drive, he needs FileMaker 12 installed to open a 
specific file. I did not install it on the spot as I wasn't sure if the 
department had purchased a license for him to install that program, 
and he had class. He is available tomorrow 1-5.

He is unable to open his "I" Drive and would like
someone to come to his office and take a look at
it as soon as possible. He will be in his office
