I activated Windows on W20120129 (the one with the
sticky note).  It should be good to go for real
now :).  Let us know if you experience the error
again,

I've double-checked the two computers on that
service request, it looks like the issue got fixed
with one of them but not the other.

WOU # 20120125[Edit Inv] is good.

WOU # 20120129[Edit Inv] is still having problems with
Windows authentication. It is still saying "This
copy of Windows is not genuine" and needs someone
to plug in an authentication keycode online.

There is class in room NS 204 from 10 AM to 5 PM
on Tuesday, but the room will be open all day Wed
& Friday this week.

Bad monitor has been boxed for return.  New
monitor delivered and set up.  Loaner brought back
to UCS.

Troubleshooting on the monitor: 
-attempted to adjust brightness and contrast
settings via the OSD (no change via brightness,
contrast was operable, but did not make screen
brighter)
-reset monitor to factory settings
-ran self-test as described in the manual.  As it
ran through the main colors, what was supposed to
be white was dark grey. 

This monitor is under warranty.

Hi,

Can you send someone over (when class is NOT in
session), to check on 2 computers in NS 204?

The room is unoccupied M, W, & F. The room is
occupied from 10:30 - 5 on Tuesday & from 8 - 2:30
on Thursday.

We plan to use the computers for class activities
the week of Apr 20-24, so we'd like to have the
work done this week or next week.

Computer # 20120129[Edit Inv], (front station near the door)
needs the Windows product to be authenticated. It
pops up a screen that says " Windows 7: this copy
of Windows is not genuine." "Activate Windows Now:
Your Activation period has expired". "Activate
Windows online Now, Buy a new product key, or
"Retype your product key."

Computer # 20120125[Edit Inv], (middle station on door side
of room); the monitor screen is very dark, like
it's in a sleep mode, and I can't change the
brightness/contrast with the controls on the side
of the screen. If this isn't easily fixable, can
you bring us a loaner monitor?
