The fix appears to be working.  Talked to Dr.
Toray, and she said she would let us know if it
does pop up again.  
Now the only thing is for her Mac h drive side to
be merged with her PC h drive, with the PC drive
being her new primary.

It seems to be an issue with a) her having
multiple copies of the same folders and b) Apple
OS conflicting with the network drives.  Unchecked
the UNC setting and mapped with cifs.  Seems to be
working now.  Will check in on Thursday if I don't
hear back.

I had to rebind the machine onto the domain.that 
fixed the problem.She can now save open and save 
both old and new documents to her network drive.

Hi Tamina,

I'd  like to continue working on your H:drive and
Powerpoint task to see if we can find a better
solution.  

Is there a time later this week that would work? 
In the meanwhile, I'll continue doing some research.

They are all .ppt files.  Only random ones open
and opening it in Word 2007 in the terminal server
works on the problem files.  At first glance,
seems like it's a compatibility issue.  She has an
external drive with a backup copy that opens
everything fine.  For now, she will open from
there and save as .pptx.  

She sees her H:drive within her H:drive, which the
Daves have explained as Unix vs. PC side.  In
order for her files to be synced, she has go two
layers deep on her Mac.

On her new computer she is unable to open some of
the powerpoint files that are saved in her H
drive. It tells her that they files may be
"corrupt" or in-use
