Finally got in touch with Tankersley.  He would
like to wait until summer, when this problem will
be resolved with a replacement.  He would like us
to hold on to the iMac so that people don't try to
use it in the lab.  iMac is on the PDR shelf with
a note afixed.

Left VM: ran testing on RAM, seems to the iMac
itself.  Seeing if user can find funding for Apple
Repair or if he wanted to wait for it to be
replaced later this summer.

Zach tested the RAM in other iMac, ran just fine.
 At this point I think its something else wrong in
the computer.

Couldn't find a compatible computer to swap with
in the office,  Zach is swapping and testing with
one in the itc 103 classroom.

Tried different configurations with the RAM in
question, the Apple Hardware Test froze every
time, followed by 3 beeps.  Tried new Ram in
computer, same result.  After a while, the
computer overheated and wouldn't boot.  

Was in the process of trying old ram in other
computers, but ran out of time.

This is a recurring issue (see previous tasks
attached to the WOU number).  Tankersley knows it
is past warranty and is willing to see if he can
find funding for repair if need be.  It has passed
previous hardware tests and we usually get it to
work after some fiddling. We believe it to be
somehow related to RAM. I will run hardware
troubleshooting again.

is by my desk with a sticky note on it.

# 20110400[Edit Inv] in ITC 103 is out of order again. It
freezes unexpectedly and sometimes does not boot
up. I suspect a RAM issue. Please help. Thank you.
