Restored the iPad successfully; set up and 
restored the apps listed in inventory.

Returned to Janeanne.

Tried a hard reset and update through iTunes 
unsuccessfully.

Now trying a restore.  Janeanne said that she 
didn't need to save any of the info

The iPad has failed and will no longer turn on. 
It does light up when she tries to charge it
though.  The power button doesn't respond after a
charge.  There is no response from the iPad.

Ipad is with her in Library 117B
