When I went, I didn't see the spinning wheel, but 
it was trying to update, appearing to be stuck.
I restarted and it finished the update and allowed 
me to log on.

He has restarted his Mac many times but it just
keeps sitting in waiting mode.  The ball just
keeps spinning and he has waited about an hour and
nothing is happening.

He is around till 2ish today.
