Please read the very first note carefully! it
indicates that Tom doesn't come back until WINTER
but this needed to be done this Summer for
different adjunct faculty please contact Kathy
Witwer specifically since she is the one who
requested this update and the original computer

Tom (and cc: Kathy):

I have a new computer configured and ready to
deliver to your West House office, replacing your
old machine, currently running Windows XP.  Before
I deliver and setup the new machine and remove the
old one, Kathy indicates that you may have some
specialized software that will need to be moved to
the new machine.

- Are the specialized applications something we
can download and get a more current version?  If
so, this would be the ideal plan.

- Concerning the specialized applications, where
do you keep the related data?  Is this on a
network or external drive, or possibly on the C:
drive of the local computer?

- Do you have any other concerns or possibly any
instructions for me?

Machine imaged.  Renamed to W20130898; moved in AD
to \facstaff\Business and Economics\computers;
verified ucsadmin is local admin; ran gpupdate
/force; device manager, updated USB3 driver;
installed Sophos; ran Windows update; updated
browsers and plugins; activated MS Office 2013 --
Office2013AfterImaging.bat file didn't work -- had
to activate using key.

NEW EQUIP SETUP: (GFA) A Dell computer and monitor need to be 
setup and delivered to West House 208 Adjunct Faculty Office-Tom 
Burrell. Tom does not teach until Winter Term 2016, but the 
replacement needs to happen this summer. The WOU # of the new 
computer is 20130898[Edit Inv] and the monitor is 20130975[Edit Inv]. The WOU # of 
the old computer is 20091320[Edit Inv]. The new equipment is on the GFA 
shelf in the hallway.
