John talked with Scott and he updated the software 
and his license and got it working.

Install was successful, but none of the serial numbers 
worked.  This might have to do with the following:  

There is a USB drive that goes with VectorWorks that he has 
to plug in to use the software -- the USB drive wasn't 
recognized on the laptop at all (didn't light up or appear).  
The USB ports are functioning, but that USB drive doesn't 
register.  I am under the impression that this needs to be 
running even to license with the serial number.

Possibly a different OS problem?  His old machine is running 
10.7.

VectorWorks is trying to find the license and no
success.  He has one and needs this software to
work again.

Set up with Scott - was unable to add Limo2 
printer at this time (might be due to 
restarting Krusty?) but he will try in a bit 
and I will check in to see if he still needs 
help with anything else.

He's holding onto his old MacBook for a while 
and will drop it off to us when he's all set on 
his new machine and has all his data 
transferred.

now AutoCAD WS  is a free 2D CAD software that is
now called AutoCAD 360  -

 on a MAC desktop or laptop this does not look
like software to install but actually a web based
app and requires he sign in with an account he may
use it as an app on aiOS device though so he may
not realize that it is not a download and install
on the laptop

Gimp is freeware --  http://www.gimp.org/

Makerbot goes with their 3d scanner and printer -

As per your request, here is the list of
applications on my current laptop (#20101246) that
need to be installed on the new computer.  I'm not
sure which of these you'll need to install and
which I'll need to re-download and install myself;
I guess that depends on who did it the first time.
 Some of these may require new license purchases
to get a version that works with the new OS; I
guess we will have to look at those on a
case-by-case basis.
