The windows update has some error, it was crashed.
So they put the new version of KIC latest one
which is compatible with the windows update and it
worked.

restarted scanner, computer and modem. The
application gets to 40% and leaves the screen,
but the process is still running in task
manager. There is no error in the event log.
When you run the Kic Launcher you can test the
database(fine) and test the scanner(throws
exception). IP's addresses look fine. Janeanne
Rockwell-Kincanon was with us and was emailing
support to get them to do a web session with us
as soon as they could. East cost hours so they
are not open until tomorrow.

They can't get the program- Kic- to open. You
click on it and it thinks for awhile and then says
it is not responding. They have tried restarting
the computer and program and it still gives the
same error.

The computer is by the Kic scanner behind the ref
desk in library.
