Looked at the PC in the room closest to Scott's
office -- verified that BIOS settings were
correct and selected monitor as default
speaker. I had Scott test to make sure the
sound and microphone were both working. All
seems well in that room.

****This is an email****
Hi,

I have two issues that need resolving.

1. I need Garage Band put on the two Macs in the
Digital Media Center open lab (HL 119): 20130152[Edit Inv]
and 20130153[Edit Inv].

2. We're also having speaker/sound issues on the
PCs in HL 221 and HL 222 (WOU#s 20130224[Edit Inv] and
20130225[Edit Inv] respectively). These are monitors with
built-in speakers. I'm guessing they're having
issues because there are other devices plugged in
(a USB mic on one, the Start/Stop transcription
machine on the other). Despite the sound settings
being correct in the Control Panel, and showing
volume, they often don't play sound. Sometimes on
restart they will, sometimes they won't. Can I
have someone look at these? I'm also wondering if
we might be able to get some external speakers for
them if we can't get it resolved. Since these are
video/audio production rooms, sound is obviously
critical. We never had this problem before we had
these monitors.

Thanks,
Scott
