Got it. I'll look into the purchasing, but it may 
take longer than usual as I'm working through 
policy questions. If we're not able to go ahead 
until the end of the fiscal year, will that be 
okay with the loaner we currently have?

 In the meantime, would we be able to have the 
box back, for decor if nothing else?

Hello Mark,

This email is in regards too, PC W#20091105[Edit Inv]
Optiplex 960 belonging to Rebecca Chadd.  We
receive a service request on January 15 stating
that the PC would not shut down completely.  When
University Computing Services got there we
troubleshooted by running diagnostics,  still PC
was stuck in booting mode.  UCS took it back,
re-imaged but the problem still exist (Stuck in
booting mode).  We advise replacing the PC.

Hello Tricia,

Hope all is well. UCS called around a while ago
regarding a PC that a staff member has asked for
help with. I was completely out of the loop and
did not know what was happening, but UCS was going
to discuss the issue with you. Before anything
advances, could you let me know what the outcome
is? At this point, all I have been able to gather
is that the PC functions fine with the sole
exception that shutting down the machine performs
a reboot. As there doesn't seem to be any other
issue, I'm not sure that replacing the box is
necessary. I would happily take the
rebooting-happy box and switch out it with my own
(for our employee) if UCS could reimage my machine
first.

Went there, looked at the problem. Did some
trouble shooting. It;s need to be re-imaged.

I had an appointment for another task so I called
Jonathan and he took a loaner there, bought the
computer and he is working on Re imaging it.

Computer would continuously not shut down
completely.  It would turn off and turn right back
on.  She forced shut it down and it stayed off.

Today, her computer will not stay on.  It is going
through a cycle of rebooting when she tries to
power it on.  

She is now presented with an message that says
"start windows normally or run repair (recommended)"
