Ran diagnostics, which didn't find anything.

Uninstalled and reinstalled MSO2013 - can't 
replicate the issue now, so it might be 
resolved.  Machine is at the imaging desk with 
a sticky note.  Please return to Mike for more 
testing and pick up the loaner.

Left VM for availability for testing & swap

Ran updates and Office repair, restarted.

It's still delaying - often only slightly, but 
perceptibly.
The problem only happens on 2013 documents; 
doesn't occur when in compatibility mode.  When 
it lags, you can hear the machine start to run 
louder when it freezes/lags.

I'm prepping a loaner - W# 20130222[Edit Inv] - so we can 
do more testing in our office this afternoon.  
Please run hardware diagnostics, uninstall and 
reinstall Office 2013, and if all else fails, 
try reimage.  He is backing up his files in 
case.

He said it was working fine after the tech left,
but it's back to doing the same thing.

He can open these older files on the same version
of word he has, on other computers and it works
fine. He thinks microsoft word may need to be
reinstalled.

Fixed it.

Took a long time to figure out the issue.
So he has word 2013 in his new machine and word
2010 in his lab machine, and many of his old files
are 2010. He opened the file and did some changes
in his lab machine and then back to his machine
which somehow corrupted the only one file that he
used. Made him go through other files, it's
perfectly working. So figured out that only that
file has issue. Made him copy paste everything to
the Google docs and download that file in 2013 and
delete the old file. It's working perfect now. 

And also installed Office 2013 in his lab computer.

Microsoft word is slow and freezing every time he
uses it.
The other day, he opened an old file to edit it.
It was saved under a different year of Microsoft
word.  They now have the 2013 version. Everything
was working find, then a message popped up that
said "incompatibility issue". 

He is available today from 10am-1pm, 2pm-5pm.
