According to Dell, this could be due to a bad
power cord, Bad BIOS settings or a bad MB. I
changed the power cord and reset the BIOS and the
blinking error went away. I told them to let me
know if it happens again and I can put in a
request for a new MB.

Hello,

This afternoon, 20141163[Edit Inv] went down again with
the amber 2,1 LED blink code. We left it
unplugged for a while and plugged it back in.
It didn't work for a couple minutes, but as of
this email it is now functioning.

However, the front LED is flashing an amber 2,2
blink code, so it may still be having some kind
of cabling/power error. I will post another
email if the unit powers off again.

Thanks,

CM

The new computer in our Library Checkout
Reserves room (20141163) is flashing orange on
the power button. Chris Mansayon recognized
that it lit in a pattern and Google reports the
pattern indicates a bad motherboard.

Ironic that it worked prior to 5 p.m., then the
student who clocked in at 5 couldn't use it.
:-O

Thanks,
Janeanne
