He wants us to put in a new HDD and image it. It 
should be ready to deliver by monday.

Hi Alan,

We have looked at your computer and determined that 
the root of the problem is a fault in the hard 
drive. Unfortunately, disk integrity scans and 
windows file repair scans have been unable to 
restore function to the drive. 

At this point the drive is lost beyond our ability 
to recover it. We can try to find a new hard drive 
for the machine and re-image it, or we can let you 
replace it through your department, it's up to you.

Even after running chkdsk twice, it won't run sfc 
/scannow and it wont boot in any mode. The hard 
drive is probably not recoverable at this point

Chkdsk ran and found errors. SFC will not run still 
so i am running chkdsk again.

Won't boot to windows even in safe mode and looking at the 
hard drive from ubuntu shows that it has many bad sectors. 

I took out the drive and put it in a reader hooked up to a 
laptop, I am running checkdisk on it right now.

The laptop WOU# 20110144[Edit Inv] is in the inbox. The 
start up repair on the laptop runs endlessly and 
the windows won't start. The power supply is okay 
though.
