he wants, he will need to purchase a new machine.

Rip,

The request you put in for your colorqube and its
poor print quality it due to lack of use. These
types of machines need to be used frequently or
air gets in the lines which effects the prints.
When you first noticed this issue the printer was
out of warranty but I had a Xerox tech take a look
at it and he explained that the machine needed to
be used more. The only way to fix this issue is to
replace the printhead. A printhead replacement is
an all day project that is super advanced, my
Xerox tech who has worked at Xerox for 20 years
says its the worst repair, not worth it.

If you would like to get the printhead replaced
then I would suggest that Xerox comes out to do
the fix. A new printhead is $1000 from Xerox plus
the tech fees.

I would suggest purchasing a new unit that is not
a colorqube due to the lack of color printing.

These are the three options I would suggest. I
would base this off of how much you will actually
be printing in color.

Please replace the needed parts on the Campus
Recreation (Color Qube 8570DT - 20100687) color
printer to eliminate the streaked line. We have
run the maintenance protocols for cleaning the
machine, but we still have a line in the color
print.  Thank you.
