****This is an email****
Hey Megan, that was really, really quick.
It turns out that I won't be on campus again until
Monday morning. So, I will pick up the laptop at
that time.
Also, did Amy tell you that MS-Office needed some
certificate info? It kept beeping me that I was
running out of time ;)

Thanks to all you folks.

sriram

ps: My curiosity here ... what was causing the
overheating issue that was then making the fan run
forever???

He needs the computer back by Monday for classes.
When he dropped off the laptop he also mentioned how
Microsoft office license is saying that it will
expire in 2 days.

Contact him via email and phone number 541-914-8851

The problem is back ... the fan seems to run forever,
the underside of the laptop gets all super-hot.
(strangely enough, my car also has the same problem
now, with the fan running even after the engine is
shut off ... maybe I am the problem!)

So, this is what I am thinking ... It is clearly
beyond my abilities and the professionals need to
take over ...
I can drop off the laptop tomorrow morning, and then
pick it up later in the afternoon? I assume a crew
will be there even during the back-to-school events
at the auditorium?

Let me know what you think will be the best way to
proceed.

A big thanks

sriram

The last couple of days my laptop (UCS ID: 2013 1113) seems to run the fan loudly within a few
minutes of booting up the laptop ... and the base gets heated really, really fast.
Worried about the heat, I have been shutting it down right away ... but then I need to start
working on my fall term class materials.
1. Any suggestions on what I could do? (the laptop is always on a firm surface, and never
obstructed. I.e., heat dissipation blocking is not the issue.)
2. Do I have to bring it in for you folks to check it?
