I installed the card and Chris tested the 
scanner.  Everything looks to be running correctly 
now with no freezing.

This card has a VIA chipset on it, one that we 
know we have issues with.  It
is recommended that you replace it with the card 
found at this link:

Computer crashes when you run the ScanPro 2000 
software.  We tried a different firefire cable, 
updated drivers, and tried re-imaging the 
computer.  ScanPro support said the Firewire card 
brand has know issues and suggested we replace it.
