FOR INSTALL OF ADOBE ACROBAT PRO DC-- new
"serialized" installer instructions:
Transfer the new folder at: T:\Adobe
CCE\CCEPackages\CC2015_5JULY16\AcrobatProDCv12_WIN
to computer Desktop and run the setup.exe file in
the enclosed Build folder.
This should install Acrobat Pro DC and
automatically "serialize" the program. When done
launch Adobe to make sure it was successful then
delete installer folder from Desktop of computer

Please let the end user know that they do not need
to sign in to use the software even though it may
prompt for login it is not affecting the usage, it
just would be access to cloud storage component of
Acrobat that we do not use. Also demonstrate the
Tools Tab as the new version has users confused
and not knowing where to find functions like
combining documents or editing documents etc.
There is also links to great tutorials from within
the app on how to use this new version. You might
point those out so that if they have some
questions about usage they can self service those
before calling a tech.
https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat.html look at the
"Do More with Acrobat DC" list under the Home TAB
and also point out the Tools tab.
another great tutorial video:

I was working on Tim's machine on Friday. I did
scans, everything came back clean. Checked what
software was installed on his machine, all looked
good. Contact Soukup about his banner reports, Tim
is using a lot of large reports in banner, which
can take minutes for the report to load. I updated
java to the newest version to see if that helped
with anything. I also, installed the newest
version of office on his machine. I need to check
on Windows Updates, I couldn't get them to pull, I
also heard others were having trouble with that on
Friday. I left Tim a note with all this info, he
was not in. I will check back up with him this week.

****This is an email****
Hello Tim,

Here is the cost of RAM upgrade and Acrobat
licensing we had talked about yesterday. I also
had a conversation with Megan and I believe she is
already in contact with you to check out your
issues with Banner and Excel even further.

two different RAM options:

Crucial 8GB Kit (2 x 4GB) DDR3L-1600 UDIMM
part#CT2K51264BD160B $62.71 this would give you a
TOTAL of 16 GB of RAM on your workstation.

Crucial 16GB Kit (2 x 8GB) DDR3L-1600 UDIMM
part#CT7350551 $121.54 this would give you a
TOTAL of 24GB of RAM on your your workstation

the Optiplex 9020 you have as your workstation has
4 DIMM slots and hold a Max of 32 GB of RAM. It
currently has 2 slots of the 4 filled with 2X4GB
DIMMS for total of 8 GB.

Adobe Acrobat Pro DC LICENSE (yearly subscription
cost of $15.00 each workstation) * Please note
this is an annual term subscription that UCS will
bill for in MAY every year.

When you place an order I will need user name and
WOU# of computer that it will be used on. It is
licensed 1 per each user or station(if a
multi-user station like a lab machine).

Orders for these types of items can be placed via
the UCS Purchase Request System online. Once the
order is received and approved I will be the one
who will make a service request to ask the UCS
tech to come install for you.

Tim is having many troubles with his computer. For
example he is having issues with his computer
freezing up, excel crashes, banner is frozen and
gmail does not want to function. In general he
would like someone to come out and take a look at
it and go from there to solve the problems.
